Since1910.com is the online presence of H.L. Gross & Bro. Jewelers, a family owned, fifth generation couture retail Jewelry business, established in downtown Brooklyn, New York in the year 1910. Now located in downtown Garden City, Long Island, there are currently 3 generations working together at H.L. Gross & Bro. Michael Gross is 4th generation family member and President. Brad Gross and Matt Gross are 5th generation family members and Vice Presidents. Helene Gross is third generation and treasurer.
We have on premises three Graduate Gemologists, a jewelry manufacturing and repair facility that includes a state-of-the-art laser welding machine, and a watch repair facility. Our gem lab includes microscopes, refractometers used to determine the refractive index of stones, a sarin machine used to measure the cut grade of a diamond with the latest software covering the new GIA (Gemological Institute of America) standards, a colorimeter to grade color and an ultra violet light for determining fluorescence.

Having sold over 35,000 engagement rings, we are extremely experienced with every facet of the diamond business. We have 50 year old relationships with the largest diamond suppliers, many of which are De Beers site-holders. This means we are purchasing the diamonds from the source, eliminating the middleman, and passing the savings on to you. We guarantee the lowest diamond prices

We are authorized dealers of the top bridal designers, including Tacori, Scott Kay, Vatche, Verragio, Henri Daussi, Precision Set, Martin Flyer, Simon G, Stardust, Jeff Cooper, SES, ArtCarved, PeJay, La4ve, William Levine and Danielle Trissi.

Community Involvement and Philanthropy
Michael Gross is a member of the Garden City-Mineola Rotary Club, has served numerous terms on the Board of Directors of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce and was honored by the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce as 16th annual small business person of the year.
Recent charitable contributions have included an in store event to benefit the Diabetes Research Foundation, a donation to the Gift of Life and numerous local charities and being the major contributor to the Garden City Make a Wish Foundation annual fundraising event.

We are recent sponsors of the New York Islanders hockey team and each month have gone onto the ice to present a watch to the player of the month along with a randomly picked fan. You can see our ads locally in The New York Times, Newsday, and Distinction Magazine.
